Dalton Skach

I built Betting the Future because I wanted a place where people don't just share how they see the future — they put a live, concrete prediction on it, on the record.

What I love about this format is that every bet is finite. In the public markets you can be right — a company beats earnings — and the stock still goes down. Here the question resolves, the clock runs out, and there's an answer. Call it right, you win. Call it wrong, you lose. No spin survives settlement.

Every episode, I hold the guests to that standard.

What is Betting the Future?

Betting the Future is a show where great minds predict the future — and prediction markets tell us if they got it right. Every episode centers on one question — an IPO, a prize, a championship, a succession — that has a live public prediction market behind it. Guests make a call on the record, and the market's eventual resolution decides who was right.

How are the calls settled?

Every question is tied to a public prediction market, such as Kalshi. The market price at the moment of recording is logged and never revised. When the real-world event resolves, the market settles — and the call stands or it doesn't, in public, next to the guest's name.

Who can appear as a guest?

Investors, quants, political analysts, scientists, researchers, traders, founders — anyone who can defend a position on the record. Apply to be a guest.

Who's behind it?

Betting the Future was founded in 2026 by Dalton Skach, who works on the show full-time and hosts every episode.

Where can I watch?

Full episodes publish on the Betting the Future YouTube channel, and the show is on TikTok. Every call — and how it settled — also goes out in the newsletter on Substack.
